Kolombiya, dünyanın en büyük mülteci nüfusunu barındıran üçüncü ülke konumunda olup 2,5 milyon kişiye ev sahipliği yapmaktadır. Uluslararası sorumluluğunu cömertçe yerine getiren Kolombiya başka ülkelerdeki mültecilere de son derece duyarlı. Bu dayanışmanın bir örneği olarak Ankara’daki mültecilere düzenli maddi yardım sağlayan Kolombiya’nın Türkiye Büyükelçiliği, 6 Şubat depremzedelerine de kolilerce ihtiyaç malzemesi hibe etti. Büyükelçilik ayrıca İltica ve Göç Araştırmaları Merkezi (İGAM) ile depremzedeler ve diğer mülteci çocuklar için psikolojik destek sağlıyor. Elçilik bu hafta 20 mülteci çocuğu misafir ederek, nefis ikramlar eşliğinde Kolombiya yapımı çok güzel bir çocuk filmi izletti.
With 2,5 Million refugees, Columbia is hosting the third largest refugee population in the World. This generosity does not stop Colombia’s ongoing concerns for the refugees in the other corners of the Earth. As a demonstration of this solidarity, the Columbian Embassy in Ankara, in cooperation with the Research Centre on Asylum and Migration (IGAM), continues to provide assistance to refugees in Turkiye and to the victims of the devastating Earthquake in the Southern part of the country. In addition, the Embassy and IGAM jointly provide psychological support to refugee children. Earlier this week, the Embassy graciously hosted 20 refugee children and presented them with a wonderful Colombian movie.
