İGAM'S WORLD REFUGEE DAY EXHIBITION IN ANKARA

19.06.2025

On the occasion of World Refugee Day on June 20, we at IGAM held a meaningful gathering on June 17 at the Ankara State Museum of Painting and Sculpture. Together, we reflected once again on human dignity, universal values, and the rights of refugees—reinforcing our commitment to solidarity.

With powerful messages shared by IGAM President Metin Çorabatır and UNHCR Deputy Representative Nabil Benbekhti, we continued to be a voice for the more than 123 million forcibly displaced people around the world. We reiterated the importance of rights-based advocacy.

At this special event, enriched by the works of both Turkish and international artists, we collectively experienced the unifying power of art. The participation of relevant public institutions, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the Council of Europe, Hacettepe University’s Faculty of Fine Arts, civil society organizations, and members of the press gave us strength. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all who contributed.

With the donations received during the event, we will continue our work in the field of refugee rights with even greater determination. Together, we will strengthen our advocacy efforts and expand our solidarity for refugee rights.
