Dr. Nihal Eminoğlu: “Women are the most important part of social cohesion.”

İGAM Academy Coordinator and Çanakkale On Sekiz Mart University International Relations Faculty Member Dr. Nihal Eminoğlu gave a discourse on ‘Invisible Face of Migration; Women Refugees in Turkey’ to TUİÇ Academy.

Eminoğlu gave information about international agreements, the feminization of migration and refugee rights shared the following views:
“It is necessary to build cohesion policies that cover those all with women, men, different sexual orientation, children, and those of different social status or ethnicity. If we do not
carry out more specific and concrete cohesion studies considering the power of women influencing and changing her environment, and do not bring women into society, and do not offer job opportunities for women, we may indirectly create the risk of losing individuals around the women. In other words, it is important to prioritize the problems of refugee women and put them in the center of cohesion studies; and, it should not be forgotten that the most important part of social cohesion is, again, women.”
