Einstein Club/IGAM Football Team, founded by IGAM and consists of refugee young men, played its first official match against the German Embassy Football Team, FCStiefel.
FCStiefel won the friendly match that was played on October 20, 2021, and was supported by the families of
the players, 8-3.
Einstein Club/IGAM Football Team, whose players have the names of world-renowned refugees on their shirts will continue their friendly matches in the coming days.
IGAM President Metin Çorabatır stated that the efforts of young refugees to survive despite all the difficulties should be appreciated and said:
“Despite many difficulties, Einstein Club/IGAM's football players said: 'We will survive, we will live life in all its aspects because we are human like everyone else, we have equal rights as everyone. They say, 'We are the integration.’ They also work in the textile, auto industry, welding, they earn their living; then, they put all their pain aside and sweat on the astroturf. They give a good example of integration.”
