Academic Initiative of İGAM: İGAM ACADEMY
İGAM ACADEMY was established in September 2020 under IGAM, the Research Centre on Asylum and Migration, with the objective of enriching its research and other academic activities, building a network between the academicians working in the field of migration, and contributing to idea generation activities. İGAM ACADEMY is Chaired by Prof. Dr. M. Murat Erdoğan.
Acting upon the awareness of the academic potential and the academician network within İGAM, which has been carrying out significant activities on the issues of migration/refugees and cohesion for years and which has soon become one of the leading Civil Society Organizations in Turkey conducting important studies in this area, the main goal of İGAM ACADEMY is to perform more advanced, qualified and systematic research activities on migration, asylum and cohesion.
In light of the fundamental values adopted by İGAM, and with the objective of sustaining the mission to contribute to respecting and furthering the rights of migrants and refugees in Turkey and in the entire world, the Academy aims to provide an academic vision and contribution to developing rights-based findings and solution offers.
