135 migrants in Çanakkale are stopped

According to DHA, during the concurrent operations being staged in the Ayvalık district of Çanakkale, 135 Afghanistan-originated irregular migrants who were attempting to cross over Greece’s Lesbos Island has been stopped.

Afgan refugees’ battle of life

The employment problem of asylum seekers being sent from Istanbul

According to Euronews, Bahcesehir University Economic and Social Research Center (BETAM) has thoroughly tackled the opportunity pathways in the process of Syrian asylum-seekers transitioning to the workforce in its new report discussing ‘’Syrians’ Adaptation to the Labor Market: The Employment Opportunities in Şanlıurfa, Hatay, and Gaziantep’’. From the vantage point of BETAM Vice Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Uysal, the adaptation to the labor market in these provinces should be prioritized, and it is vital to advert an inclination towards to the areas where there exists no obligation to obtain a work permit, such as seasonal agricultural labor.

507 refugees are confined to the sea

According to Euronews, 507 refugees are waiting for the European Union (EU) states to grant acceptance to them in two ships anchored to the Mediterranean Sea. However, these states display resistance to receive refugees.

Three hundred fifty-six refugees have been waiting in the Ocean Viking ship being administered by the cooperation between Médecins Sans Frontières and the German relief organization, SOS Mediterranee. When the refugees trying to cross over Europe by small boats have been stuck in a direful situation, this ship has rescued them. Open Arms, a Spain-based aid agency, has been waiting in the sea for twelve days with 151 refugees that it has saved. Only eight refugees experiencing health urgency were permitted in their transition to Malta.
